Surana Telecom and Power has divested 49% of its equity stake in Sunvibe Energy Private Limited to Baidyanath Power Private Limited for Rs. 2.05 crore at a premium, effective June 9, 2025. Sunvibe Energy was a subsidiary implementing a 54MW Solar Power Project in Maharashtra, but had not yet commenced business and contributed nothing to the company's turnover or net worth. With this sale, Sunvibe Energy has ceased to be a subsidiary of Surana Telecom. The buyer is not related to the promoter group, and the transaction is not a related-party deal. The agreement was signed on March 3, 2025, with completion expected by June 30, 2025.
This is a small-value divestment (~Rs. 2 crore) of a non-revenue-generating subsidiary, so it is unlikely to materially affect the stock price or shareholder value. However, it marks the company's exit from direct involvement in the 54MW solar project in Maharashtra, which may slightly reduce its power business footprint going forward.
