RBI has given prior approval to 1729 Capital and its associates to acquire an aggregate holding of up to 9.99 percent of the paid-up share capital or voting rights in Suryoday Small Finance Bank. The approval dated December 10, 2025 follows an earlier intimation from November 13, 2025. The buyer must keep holding below 9.99 percent at all times, and if it falls below 5 percent, fresh RBI approval is needed to raise it back to 5 percent or more.
