AI summary

Swaraj Engines' Board has approved a capacity expansion plan to increase annual engine production from the current 1,95,000 units to 2,40,000 units — a ~23% increase — to meet expected future demand. The total projected outlay for the expansion will be funded entirely through internal cash generation and surplus funds, meaning no external borrowing or equity dilution is planned. The Board disclosed this under SEBI's Regulation 30 with detailed annexure, indicating it is a material event. The board meeting ran from 12:30 PM to 2:20 PM on 16th April 2025.

Likely market impact

Positive for shareholders — expansion signals management's confidence in future demand growth, and self-funding via internal accruals preserves the debt-free, dilution-free balance sheet. Capacity addition of ~45,000 units per annum could translate into meaningful revenue growth if order book materialises.
