Syrma SGS Technology will acquire a 60% majority stake in Elcome Integrated Systems, a Navi Mumbai-based defence and maritime electronics firm founded in 1978. Elcome provides navigation, communication, and surveillance systems for the Indian Navy. The deal gives Syrma SGS entry into defence electronics, combining Elcome's expertise with its manufacturing scale. Syrma SGS reported FY25 revenue of about Rs 3,800 crore. Aligns with India's self-reliance push in defence tech.
Positive - strategic entry into high-growth defence and maritime electronics segment, expanding addressable market beyond existing ESDM business.
