The Board of Syschem India, at its meeting on 29 September 2025, approved setting up a new production unit at its existing plant in Village Bargodam, Panchkula, Haryana, to manufacture Cloxacillin Sodium, Dicloxacillin Sodium, and Flucloxacillin Sodium. The Board also approved expanding the existing unit to increase production capacity of Amoxicillin. The proposed capacity addition is around 1,600 TPA on top of the existing 2,400 TPA (which currently runs at about 77% average utilisation). The total investment is estimated at Rs. 15–20 crore, to be funded through internal accruals and/or debt, with commercial production expected by end of December 2025.
This is a meaningful capacity expansion (roughly two-thirds increase) and a move into additional penicillin-based products, which could drive future revenue growth. However, the Rs. 15–20 crore capex funded partly by debt may pressure short-term finances, and benefits depend on timely execution by December 2025.
