Tahmar Enterprises' 45 KLPD grain-based distillery and bottling plant at Beradwadi, Kolhapur, Maharashtra, which had been shut since July 2025 following interim directions from the Maharashtra Pollution Control Board (MPCB), has received a renewed Consent to Operate (CTO) dated 5 January 2026. The company completed all required pollution control upgrades and compliance submissions to satisfy MPCB conditions under the Water and Air Pollution Acts. The CTO is valid until 31 August 2029, with a project capital investment of Rs. 21.13 crore. The company has stated it is fully prepared to resume manufacturing in a phased and orderly manner while continuing to meet environmental norms.
Positive for shareholders — the resolution of the regulatory shutdown clears the path for production to resume at the distillery, which should help restore revenues. However, operations are yet to restart and the company remains subject to strict ongoing MPCB compliance conditions.
