Tamil Nadu Newsprint & Papers Limited (TNPL) has appointed Thiru R. Rengarajan as its new Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and Key Managerial Personnel, effective July 1, 2025. He takes over from Sathya Ananth, who retired from the role on June 30, 2025. Rengarajan was already serving as Chief General Manager (Finance In-charge) at TNPL, making this an internal promotion. He holds B.Com, FCA, FCMA, and CS qualifications, and brings over 33 years of post-CA experience in finance and accounts across manufacturing industries including heavy engineering, steel foundry, boiler manufacturing, and paper. His appointment was approved by the Board of Directors on May 13, 2025. He does not hold any shares in TNPL and has no inter-se relationship with other directors.
This is a routine internal succession at the finance leadership level, with no disruption to operations. Shareholders may view the smooth transition positively, as the new CFO is already familiar with TNPL's financials.
