Tata Capital has allotted USD 400 million senior unsecured notes at a fixed coupon of 5.332 percent, maturing January 21, 2030 (3.5 year tenure). This is part of the company USD 2 billion medium term note programme, issued under Regulation S of the US Securities Act. Notes are rated BBB by S&P, unsecured, and to be listed on India INX in GIFT City. Proceeds will be used for onward lending and other activities under extant ECB regulations.
Positive: diversifies funding via offshore bond market at competitive rate, supports lending growth. Modest leverage build-up but BBB rating affirms credit quality.
