On the reaction day the stock moved 0.5 pts more than Nifty Midcap 150 and 1.2 pts more than its Telecom - Cellular & Fixed line services peers, over the same two closes: a difference in percentage points, not a measure of what the filing did.

Tata Communications plans to add around 6 petabits per second of network capacity during FY2030 to FY2036. The expansion requires capital expenditure of ₹4,350 crore, or about US$400 million to US$450 million, funded through operating cash flows. Current capacity is 1.25 petabits per second, with utilization at around 70% to 80%.
The expansion could support long-term growth and AI demand, though high capital spending and execution risk may weigh on near-term performance.
