Tata Consumer Products has acquired the remaining 5% stake held by Wildflower Private Trust in Capital Foods Private Limited. With this, Tata Consumer now holds 27,95,533 equity shares of Rs 10 each, representing 80% of Capital Foods paid-up equity capital. Earlier in 2024, the company had acquired 75% and had committed to buying the remaining 25% within three years. This latest buy takes it closer to full ownership of the company behind brands such as Ching's Secret and Smith and Jones.
Strengthens Tata Consumer's control over Capital Foods, moving it closer to full ownership under the earlier acquisition roadmap. Minor equity impact for now.
