After an early-September cyber incident halted JLR production, the Jaguar Land Rover unit is restarting manufacturing in phases. Engine and battery plants in the West Midlands were due to restart on October 8, followed by stamping, body, paint, logistics, Nitra and Range Rover operations. Halewood is still pending. JLR will fund faster supplier payments, accelerating them by up to 120 days versus standard 60-day terms.
The restart reduces disruption risk and supports volumes and supplier continuity, but the phased rollout leaves some execution and cost uncertainty.
