On the reaction day the stock moved 1.1 pts less than Nifty 100 and 0.5 pts more than its Passenger Cars & Utility Vehicles peers, over the same two closes: a difference in percentage points, not a measure of what the filing did.
Minute windows have no benchmark: there is no intraday index history to compare against.
Tata Motors Limited, with units TMPVL and TPEML, agreed to acquire 26% each in Tata Power entities TP Paarthav and TP Marigold for cash at par. The TPPL stake costs Rs 10.41 crore and the TPML stake Rs 28.78 crore. Both targets are yet to start operations. The deals aim to reduce power costs and carbon footprint through renewable energy.
The investments could lower long-term power costs and emissions, but both targets are pre-operational, so the near-term earnings impact is unclear.
