Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles has reported a temporary disruption at its Sanand plants in Gujarat due to heavy rainfall and flooding. The plants manufacture Tiago, Tigor, Nexon and Sierra models. Supplier facilities in and around Gujarat are also affected. The company says concerted efforts are underway to reinstate production and normalcy is expected over the next few days. Adequate insurance cover for floods and natural calamities is in place. Quantum of loss is being assessed.
Short-term production hit at Sanand plants likely; flood damage is insured, limiting financial impact. Watch restoration timeline.
