Tata Power has received a Letter of Intent from REC Power Development and Consultancy Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of government PSU REC Limited, to acquire Jejuri Hinjewadi Power Transmission Limited, a project special purpose vehicle. The project involves building about 115 km of 400 kV double-circuit transmission line between Jejuri and Hinjewadi with 400 kV GIS bays at both substations, on a Build-Own-Operate-Transfer model. Scheduled commercial operation date is 24 months from SPV transfer, with a 35-year transmission service agreement. Annual Transmission Charges are about 155.78 crore.
Adds a steady 35-year revenue stream from a government-backed PSU, strengthening Tata Power's transmission business.
