Tata Power Renewable Energy (TPREL) has commissioned a 100.8 MW wind project in Dharashiv, Maharashtra. The project features 28 wind turbine generators and will generate about 299 million units of clean electricity annually, offsetting around 245 million kg of CO2 emissions yearly. Power will be supplied to Tata Power Mumbai Distribution to meet its Renewable Purchase Obligation targets. With this addition, TPRELs total renewable capacity reaches 11.6 GW, of which 6.7 GW is operational. About 4.9 GW remains under construction, to be commissioned over the next 6 to 24 months.
Strengthens clean energy portfolio and progress toward Net Zero by 2045 goal; positive for long-term renewable capacity growth.
