Tata Power Renewable Energy (TPREL), a subsidiary, commissioned its 100.8 MW Jewali Wind Project in Dharashiv district, Maharashtra. The project uses 28 wind turbines and is expected to generate 299 million units of clean electricity annually, offsetting about 245 million kg of CO2. Power will be supplied to Tata Power Mumbai Distribution to help meet Renewable Purchase Obligation targets. TPREL's total renewable capacity now stands at 11.6 GW, with 6.7 GW operational including 1.3 GW of wind.
