On the reaction day the stock moved 1.7 pts less than Nifty 100 and 0.4 pts less than its Iron & Steel peers, over the same two closes: a difference in percentage points, not a measure of what the filing did.
Minute windows have no benchmark: there is no intraday index history to compare against.
The amalgamation of Tata Steel with its wholly owned subsidiary Rujuvalika Investments became effective on November 3, 2026, after National Company Law Tribunal approval and filing of the certified order. RIL's authorised equity capital of Rs 1.55 crore was merged into Tata Steel's, increasing its authorised capital to Rs 32,621.05 crore.
This is an internal restructuring. No cash payment or new Tata Steel shares are mentioned, so the direct effect on existing shareholders is expected to be limited.
