Tata Steel board approved acquiring 50.01% in Thriveni Pellets for up to 636 crore cash. TPPL runs a 4 MTPA pellet plant in Odisha. Board also approved 4.8 MTPA expansion at NINL, 2.5 MTPA new thin slab caster at Meramandali, 0.7 MTPA HRPGL line at Tarapur, MoU with Lloyd Metals for 6 MT greenfield steel in Gadchiroli, and 1 MTPA HIsarna low carbon demo plant at Jamshedpur.
