Tata Steel has acquired additional equity shares in T Steel Holdings Pte. Ltd (TSHP), its wholly owned foreign subsidiary. The company bought about 199.07 crore equity shares for USD 172 million (about Rs 1,625.29 crore) on June 24, 2026. This is part of a larger approved infusion of up to USD 2 billion (about Rs 18,488 crore), raising the total investment limit to USD 26.21 billion. TSHP will continue to remain a wholly owned subsidiary after this transaction.
Capital infusion into existing subsidiary, supports overseas operations; no new dilution for shareholders as TSHP remains wholly owned.
