Tata Steel's board, at its July 30, 2025 meeting, approved the Audited Standalone and Unaudited Consolidated Financial Results for Q1 FY26 (quarter ended June 30, 2025). Standalone net profit rose ~5.8% year-on-year to ₹3,523.25 crore on revenue of ₹31,014.36 crore, with EPS at ₹2.82. Consolidated net profit more than doubled to ₹2,007.36 crore (from ₹918.57 crore in Q1 FY25) on revenue of ₹53,178.12 crore. The board also approved acquiring a 26% equity stake in TP Adarsh Limited (TPAL) for up to ₹6 crore, alongside Tata Power Renewable Energy Limited (TPREL), through a Share Purchase & Shareholders' Agreement.
Consolidated profit more than doubled year-on-year, signalling strong group-level performance despite a slight dip in standalone revenue. The ₹6 crore TPAL acquisition is financially marginal and unlikely to move the needle, but reflects the group's diversification push into renewable energy-adjacent businesses.
