Tenneco Clean Air India reported FY26 consolidated revenue of ₹54,040 million, up 10.5% from ₹48,904 million in FY25. Consolidated profit after tax grew 9.3% to ₹6,044 million from ₹5,531 million. Standalone revenue was ₹22,885 million, marginally higher than ₹22,368 million in FY25. However, standalone PAT surged nearly 4x to ₹12,028 million from ₹3,061 million, driven primarily by a massive spike in other income to ₹9,120 million (vs ₹73 million in FY25), suggesting a significant one-time income item. An exceptional charge of ₹271.68 million (consolidated) and ₹85.31 million (standalone) was recognized due to new labour codes. The auditor issued an unmodified opinion on both standalone and consolidated results.
The standalone PAT surge warrants scrutiny as it appears largely driven by non-recurring other income rather than core operations. Investors should examine the nature of the ₹9 billion other income to assess sustainability of earnings.
