TrinityRail, a subsidiary of US-based Trinity Industries, is taking a 32 percent stake in the existing Touax-Texmaco railcar leasing JV named TTRL, forming a global tripartite partnership. The platform targets India's Rs 3 lakh crore freight rail ecosystem and combines manufacturing, leasing, technology, and financing capabilities under one roof. This supports India's goal to raise rail's share in freight movement from 27 percent to 45 percent.
Strengthens Texmaco's role in India's growing freight rail market; significant long-term value creation potential through global JV.
