TGV Sraac has increased its solar power generating capacity by 5.0 MWp, taking the total from 50.40 MWp to 55.40 MWp. Additionally, the company has commissioned a 10 MW Back Pressure Steam Turbo Generator at its existing Co-Gen Power Plant. The entire power generated from this new turbo generator will be used for captive consumption by the company. These additions strengthen the company's renewable energy portfolio and in-house power generation capabilities.
Positive for shareholders — expanded solar capacity and new captive power generation should help reduce electricity costs and improve operational efficiency. The captive-use design means cost savings rather than new revenue streams from power sales.
