GE Shipping has contracted to buy a secondhand Kamsarmax Dry Bulk carrier of about 81,609 dwt, built in 2019. The vessel is expected to join the fleet in Q3 FY27. The acquisition is financed entirely from internal accruals and aims to expand the fleet. Current fleet is 40 vessels (25 tankers, 15 dry bulk carriers) totalling 3.24 mn dwt, with capacity utilisation near 100%. One more Kamsarmax is also already contracted for delivery in Q3 FY27.
Fleet expansion funded from internal accruals shows balance sheet strength. Vessel joins Q3 FY27, no immediate revenue boost. Near 100% fleet utilisation supports outlook.
