On October 23, 2026, GE Shipping agreed to buy a used Very Large Gas Carrier built in 2015, with capacity of about 82,000 cubic metres. It is expected to join the fleet in the third quarter of FY2026-27 and will be funded entirely through internal earnings. The fleet currently has 40 vessels and utilization is close to 100%. Two used Kamsarmax carriers and a new Suezmax tanker are also under contract.
The purchase expands capacity and is fully funded internally, reducing financing risk. The vessel price and expected earnings are not disclosed.
