On the reaction day the stock moved 0.3 pts less than Nifty Smallcap 250 and 0.2 pts less than its Cement & Cement Products peers, over the same two closes: a difference in percentage points, not a measure of what the filing did.

The board approved Rs 440 crore to add 2.80 million tonnes of capacity within about two years, taking planned investment to Rs 2,014 crore including modernisation. Current capacity is 14.75 million tonnes, with utilisation at 60% to 75%. Funding will come from a mix of debt and internal funds.
The expansion may improve competitiveness and support growth, but higher borrowing and spending could weigh on cash flow until returns appear.
