Indian Hotels Company (IHCL) signed 47 hotels and opened 20 in H1 FY2027, growing its portfolio to 670 hotels with 280 in the pipeline. Currently 390 hotels are operational. Management says it is on track to hit its Accelerate 2030 target of 700 hotels ahead of schedule. Growth was spread across all 10 brands, with mid-scale Ginger leading at 19 signings. New destinations added include Ayodhya, Tadoba, Jorhat and Bokaro. International footprint extended with openings in Frankfurt and Kruger, South Africa.
Strong expansion momentum supports future revenue and fee-based income growth; being ahead of the 700-hotel target is positive for long-term shareholder value.
