On the reaction day the stock moved 7.2 pts more than Nifty Microcap 250 and 6.1 pts more than its Private Sector Bank peers, over the same two closes: a difference in percentage points, not a measure of what the filing did.
Minute windows have no benchmark: there is no intraday index history to compare against.
South Indian Bank has revised its Marginal Cost of Funds Based Lending Rates (MCLR) effective October 20, 2026. The new rates are: Overnight at 8.20 percent, One-month at 8.55 percent, Three-month at 9.25 percent, Six-month at 9.30 percent, and One-year at 9.50 percent. MCLR is the internal benchmark rate used by banks to price loans, and changes affect interest rates on new floating-rate loans linked to it.
Routine rate revision. May marginally affect borrowing costs for new MCLR-linked loan customers; limited direct impact on shareholders.
