Tilaknagar invests Rs 22 crore in Black Tiger Distilleries, enters tequila market

Tilaknagar Industries will invest a total of Rs 22 crore (Rs 6 crore first tranche, Rs 16 crore within 12 months) in Black Tiger Distilleries for a 30 percent stake on a fully diluted basis. This marks TI's first foray into the tequila category through Bodega Suprema No. 5, a 100 percent Blue Weber Agave tequila priced at Rs 4,200 to Rs 5,500 per bottle. It is TI's third strategic investment in emerging craft beverage firms, after Bartisans and Spaceman Spirits Lab.
