Time Technoplast has received approval from PESO (Petroleum and Explosives Safety Organization) to design and manufacture 250-litre high-pressure Type IV composite hydrogen cylinders for use in buses, trucks, and trailers. This makes the company the first in India to receive such authorization for this category of hydrogen storage systems. Prototype cylinders will be manufactured for joint inspection and testing, with validation expected within 90 days. The company already holds approvals for 150-litre Type IV cylinders and Type III cylinders for drones. Its composite segment reported revenues of Rs 555 crore in 9MFY26, supported by a new automated facility at Morai near Vapi, Gujarat.
This regulatory approval positions Time Technoplast as a first-mover in India's large-format hydrogen storage market for commercial transportation, potentially opening new revenue streams in the growing green hydrogen ecosystem.
