Titagarh Rail Systems received an acceptance letter from MMRDA for Mumbai Metro Line 5 Phases 1 and 2. The Rs 2,481 crore domestic contract covers rolling stock, signalling, train control, telecom, platform screen doors and depot equipment, plus maintenance. Service start targets are 108 weeks for Phase 1 and 200 weeks for Phase 2, with full commissioning targeted at 217 weeks.
The sizeable government contract can support future revenue and order backlog, but execution timing and profit margins are not disclosed.
