On the reaction day the stock moved 1.1 pts less than Nifty Microcap 250 and 0.3 pts less than its Heavy Electrical Equipment peers, over the same two closes: a difference in percentage points, not a measure of what the filing did.

Transrail Lighting board approved acquiring 100 percent of Gactel Turnkey Projects from Ajanma Holdings for up to Rs 10 Crore in cash. It is a related party transaction at arm's length; Gactel will become a wholly owned subsidiary. Gactel offers industrial cooling solutions and reported FY26 revenue of about Rs 12.24 crore. Separately, Deputy MD Raman Rajagopalan resigned citing personal reasons (relocating to Chennai to support parents), effective July 31, 2026, after about 6 years with the company.
Acquisition adds cooling tower capabilities at modest cost. Deputy MD exit is a KMP-level leadership change; watch for succession planning and order execution continuity.
