GRT Jewellers bought 49,459,775 shares, or 74.12% of paid-up equity, on 30 October 2026 and gained control. A postal ballot seeks approval for Govindarajulu Rajendran as non-executive director and for his sons, Govindarajulu Rajendran Ananthapadmanabhan and Govindarajulu Rajendran Radhakrishnan, as managing directors for five years without remuneration. E-voting runs 7 November to 6 December 2026.
