TruAlt Bioenergy has signed a Joint Venture Agreement and Share Purchase Agreement with Japan's Sumitomo Corporation to develop compressed biogas (CBG) plants in India. The JV company, Trualt Gas Private Limited, will initially set up 4 CBG plants, producing CBG along with fermented organic manure, biogenic CO2, and carbon credits. TruAlt will hold 51% and Sumitomo 49%, with TruAlt retaining management control and nominating 3 of 5 directors. Nirani Holdings will transfer its existing 49% stake in TGPL to Sumitomo at Rs 24 per share, as per an independent valuation.
Positive sentiment: a marquee global partner validates TruAlt's bioenergy model and supports scaling of its clean energy business. No immediate financial impact disclosed.
