Tube Investments of India (Murugappa Group) is entering the metal injection molding space by acquiring up to 87% stake in Orange Koi Private Limited for up to Rs 73 Cr in an all-cash deal, done through a mix of share purchase and fresh equity subscription. Orange Koi makes precision parts for medical and defence sectors using MIM and additive manufacturing. Its turnover grew from Rs 0.16 Cr in FY23 to Rs 3.76 Cr in FY25. Not a related party transaction. Initial tranche expected by Feb 28, 2026.
Strategic diversification into high-precision manufacturing for medical and defence. Opens new growth avenue, though deal size is small relative to TII's overall scale.
