NCLT Chennai has approved TVS Holdings scheme to issue bonus preference shares to equity shareholders. The company will issue 46 fully paid 6 percent cumulative non-convertible redeemable preference shares of Rs 10 each for every 1 equity share of Rs 5 held, funded from general reserves and retained earnings. These preference shares will be listed on stock exchanges. 99 percent of attending shareholders approved the scheme in April 2026. Effective date and record date are yet to be set.
Shareholders get 46 listed preference shares per equity share from surplus reserves. Equity control unchanged. TDS may apply on redemption.
