Ujjivan Small Finance Bank reported FY2026 total income of Rs 8,03,897 lakh, up 11.7% from Rs 7,20,059 lakh in FY2025. However, net profit declined 4.6% to Rs 69,263 lakh from Rs 72,610 lakh. Q4 FY26 showed strong recovery with net profit of Rs 28,197 lakh, a 238% jump from Rs 8,339 lakh in Q4 FY25. Operating profit before provisions increased marginally to Rs 1,71,013 lakh from Rs 1,68,923 lakh. The bank saw strong growth in advances (26.7% to Rs 39,76,055 lakh) and deposits (21.4% to Rs 45,66,833 lakh). Gross NPAs increased to Rs 91,671 lakh from Rs 69,589 lakh though Net NPA ratio improved to 0.43% from 0.49%. Capital Adequacy Ratio declined to 21.14% from 23.10%. Return on Assets for FY26 was 1.37% compared to 1.67% in FY25.
The bank showed strong quarterly recovery but full-year profitability declined due to higher provisions and operating costs. The significant advance growth outpacing revenue growth and declining CAR could raise asset quality concerns. The RBI rejecting the universal banking license application and asking for a diversified loan portfolio is a notable setback for the bank's growth ambitions.
