Ujjivan Small Finance Bank reported audited financial results for FY26 ended March 31, 2026. Total income grew to Rs. 8,03,897 lakh from Rs. 7,20,059 lakh in FY25, an increase of approximately 11.6%. However, net profit after tax declined to Rs. 69,263 lakh from Rs. 72,610 lakh in the prior year, a drop of about 4.6%. For Q4 FY26 alone, net profit stood at Rs. 28,197 lakh, significantly higher than Rs. 8,339 lakh in Q4 FY25. Operating profit before provisions improved to Rs. 1,71,013 lakh. Gross NPAs were Rs. 91,671 lakh (2.26% of gross advances) and Net NPAs were Rs. 17,044 lakh (0.43% of net advances). Capital Adequacy Ratio remains strong at 21.14%. The Joint Statutory Auditors (Deloitte Haskins and Sells and Abarna and Ananthan) issued an unmodified (clean) audit opinion. The RBI has asked the bank to reapply for a Universal Banking License after demonstrating a diversified loan portfolio.
Positive signal: Clean audit opinion and strong capital adequacy provide confidence. However, shareholders should note the year-over-year PAT decline despite revenue growth, indicating margin or provisioning pressure. The bank's RBI response on universal banking license is a key forward-looking watch item.
