UltraTech Cement's subsidiary, The India Cements Limited, has completed and stabilized a de-bottlenecking project at its Banswara Cement Works in Rajasthan. The initiative has added 0.3 mtpa of cement production capacity. With this addition, The India Cements' total grey cement manufacturing capacity rises to 14.75 mtpa. UltraTech's consolidated domestic grey cement capacity now stands at 185.06 mtpa, and its global capacity (including 5.4 mtpa overseas) reaches 190.46 mtpa.
This is a small, incremental capacity optimization at an existing facility rather than a major new project, so the immediate impact on UltraTech's earnings or stock price is likely modest. However, it reinforces UltraTech's steady capacity expansion strategy and supports its long-term growth outlook in the cement sector.
