UltraTech Cement has commissioned its second cement grinding mill with a capacity of 1.8 mtpa at its Maihar unit in Madhya Pradesh, as part of its ongoing expansion plan. The first mill at the same location was commissioned in March 2025. With this addition, the company's consolidated domestic grey cement capacity has risen to 186.86 mtpa, and including overseas operations, the global cement capacity now stands at 192.26 mtpa. The move is aimed at meeting growing cement demand in the country. The expansion reflects steady execution, with two mills commissioned within a span of about three months.
Positive for shareholders as the new capacity will support higher volumes and revenue growth in the coming quarters. Steady commissioning signals management's strong execution track record on the expansion roadmap.
