UltraTech Cement will scale up its electric truck fleet to over 600 EV trucks by December 2026. It has signed service contracts with Tata Motors, Ashok Leyland, IPLTech, Energy in Motion, and Sany. The fleet will transport about 5 million MT of clinker and materials annually across Gujarat, UP, MP, Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh, Maharashtra, and Odisha. Expected to cut over 1,17,000 tonnes of CO2 per year and displace 39 million litres of diesel annually. UltraTech currently runs 850 plus green trucks including CNG and electric.
