On the reaction day the stock moved 0.4 pts more than Nifty 100 and 1.3 pts more than its Breweries & Distilleries peers, over the same two closes: a difference in percentage points, not a measure of what the filing did.

United Spirits will invest an additional INR 3.2 crore in Sober (V9 Beverages) by subscribing to 1,762 CCPS, raising its stake from 15% to 25% on a fully diluted basis. Sober is a zero-alcohol beverage brand with FY25 revenue of INR 1.49 crore. The funds will support Sober's growth and operating cash needs. The deal is a related party transaction at arm's length, in cash, and expected to complete by 20 February 2026.
Modest stake build-up in a small zero-alcohol startup. Aligns with diversification strategy but limited near-term impact on USL's core alcohol business.
