The Board of Directors of Universus Photo Imagings Ltd approved the standalone and consolidated audited financial results for Q4 and FY ended 31st March 2026. On a standalone basis, the company reported revenue from operations of Rs 1,878 lakhs and profit after tax of Rs 1,926 lakhs for FY26, with EPS of Rs 17.59. However, on a consolidated basis, the results show a significant loss after tax of Rs 7,994 lakhs for FY26 (EPS: Rs -73.02), primarily due to the company's share of loss of Rs 9,920 lakhs from its foreign associate JPF Netherlands BV. The statutory auditors Suresh Kumar Mittal & Co. have issued an unmodified (clean) opinion on the standalone results. However, the consolidated results include unaudited figures of the foreign associate, which constitutes more than 20% of total consolidated assets and whose audit is still in progress. During the year, the company subscribed Rs 12,519 lakhs towards rights issue of shares in JPF Netherlands BV.
Standalone results show a healthy profit of Rs 1,926 lakhs, but consolidated results reflect a deep loss of Rs 7,994 lakhs due to the underperforming foreign associate. The unaudited nature of the associate's financials and the significant loss contribution introduce material uncertainty for investors. The clean audit opinion on standalone results provides some comfort.
