UPL Limited has announced a planned change in its top management. Mr. Anand Vora, the current Chief Financial Officer, will retire on May 31, 2025, on account of superannuation after 12 years with the company. Mr. Bikash Prasad, a former President and CFO at Olam Agri with 25+ years of experience, will take over as the new Group Chief Financial Officer effective June 1, 2025. Mr. Vora will continue to support UPL in a strategic advisory role as Finance Director, ensuring continuity. Additionally, Mr. Sujoy Mazumdar, previously with Schlumberger, has been appointed as the new Group General Counsel effective June 1, 2025. Both appointments were recommended by the Nomination and Remuneration Committee.
This is a well-planned succession rather than a sudden exit, which is generally positive for stability. The new CFO brings deep experience from a major global agri-business (Olam Agri), which could strengthen UPL's financial strategy and global perspective. Investors are unlikely to see material disruption, given the existing CFO's continued advisory role.
