VA Tech Wabag has secured a 'Large' international consortium order from United Water Supply Company of Georgia LLC (UWSCG) to build a 19 MLD Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) in Kutaisi, Georgia. As Consortium Leader, WABAG will handle design, engineering, supply, installation, and commissioning, plus 12 months of O&M supervision. The project is funded by the European Investment Bank (EIB) and the plant is designed for future expansion to 56 MLD. The order value falls in the USD 30–75 million range (approx. INR 250–625 crore), with EPC execution in 36 months. This marks WABAG's first entry into the CIS region and the Georgian market.
Positive for shareholders — the order represents a meaningful addition to WABAG's international order book, opens a new geographic market (CIS/Georgia), and is backed by a credible multilateral lender (EIB). Likely to support revenue visibility over the next 3+ years.
