Vardhman Textiles' Board has approved a major expansion of its Garment Unit in Punjab. The company's shirt production capacity will more than double from 2.20 million to 4.50 million pieces per annum. The Rs. 125 crore investment will be funded through internal accruals and debts, with completion targeted by end of FY 2026-27. The expansion is driven by near-full utilization (95%) of existing capacity, with the goal of attracting premium international brands, broadening the product portfolio, and improving cost efficiency.
This expansion signals strong growth intent and is positive for long-term revenue prospects. Doubling garment capacity at existing utilization levels suggests management sees robust demand ahead from high-value buyers and international brands.
