On the reaction day the stock moved 0.6 pts less than Nifty 100 and 1.7 pts more than its Other Beverages peers, over the same two closes: a difference in percentage points, not a measure of what the filing did.
Minute windows have no benchmark: there is no intraday index history to compare against.
VBL's subsidiary Bevco had agreed in March 2026 to acquire 100 percent stake in South Africa's Crickley Dairy for ZAR 238 million (around INR 1,314.68 million) to enter value-added dairy drinks. The deal has now been referred to the Arbitration Foundation of Southern Africa because condition precedent was not fulfilled by the long stop date of September 30, 2026, leading to termination of the agreement. Financial exposure is limited to the acquisition cost.
Deal appears called off; financial exposure capped at acquisition cost, arbitration outcome pending.
