On the reaction day the stock moved 0.2 pts less than Nifty Microcap 250, over the same two closes: a difference in percentage points, not a measure of what the filing did.

Vedanta Oil and Gas Ltd (formerly Malco Energy) received MoPNG no-objection for transfer of oil and gas blocks from Vedanta Limited under the demerger scheme effective May 1, 2026. NCLT sanctioned the scheme on Dec 16, 2025. Pending PSC, RSC and CBM contract liabilities now rest with Vedanta Oil and Gas. Delhi HC on July 22, 2026 dismissed Vedanta's petition on Block CB-OS/2, upholding MoPNG's rejection of PSC extension.
Final regulatory clearance for the Vedanta oil and gas demerger; shareholders get a clean listed entity but inherit existing PSC liabilities.
