Vikran Engineering has commissioned its second 5 MW solar power plant in Ambijalgaon, Ahilyanagar district, Maharashtra, under the PM KUSUM Scheme. The plant will generate 10,000 MWh of clean energy annually and avoid 8,200 tonnes of CO₂ emissions per year, providing reliable daytime power for agricultural irrigation. This is part of a larger 600 MW solar contract secured in December 2025. With this commissioning, the company now has 2 operational solar plants, while an additional 145 MW remains under active construction. The company is diversifying from its traditional transmission and distribution business into renewable energy infrastructure.
Positive for shareholders as the company demonstrates execution capability by commissioning its second solar plant on schedule, expanding into high-growth renewable energy under government schemes.
