Voltas board approved a Binding Term Sheet to set up a joint venture with Atomberg Innovation in India for developing, manufacturing and commercialising Room AC compressors. The JV will be held on equal shareholding basis, with Voltas nominating 3 of 5 directors. Goal is indigenous compressor technology, supply chain resilience and reducing dependence on global suppliers. Definitive Agreements and due diligence are pending.
